When Judy Byykkonen looks out her windows after a night of lake effect snowfall, this is what she sees. There's something about snow covering the branches and most everything else in sight, that catches your attention and pleases your senses. For one thing, it makes everything look bright and clean and Judy captured the contrast of the darkened skies and the white of the snow together in that second shot beautifully. Looks like there's a good supply of crabapples around Judy's place, so she'll be treated throughout the winter, to a live show of birds coming and going as they grab a bite to eat. Lucky lady to have Keweenaw beauty such as this, to view each and every day.

The snowberries pictures are Christmas Cards material.

Gorgeous photos Judy. Oh how I love winter.
Someday soon I will move up north and leave the swamps of Menominee where it does not snow often.
My skis are idle and my legs are a yearning!!

Nice pictures Judy. The third picture looks like it could have been taken in our back yard. That's what is nice about living up here. In Florida we have a cracker box space we call our yard. And no scenery like this.

Pretty. Can still see our lawn in northern lower Michigan.

WE've seen snow once in Ohio and it had rain as book ends and then some. It has been cold of late though so maybe snow is coming. Then again, it is Ohio. :-) Love the pics!

'Grizzlyadams', you must be speaking of snow only so far this winter....I live in Ohio too, and over these 24 years I've been 'stu..';)...uh, lived here, I've seen lotsa SNOW!
'Cotton' that photo looks like my back yard also, without the snow, and my garage is a bit larger. A good bit of our property is woods and a pond.
