In which year of today's review do we see a bath tub?

I didn't see one, though foaming falls looked like a bathtub when I first looked at it. But then if I'd read the caption, I'd see the Polar Bear bathtub, lol! So that would be 2001. Nice pictures today!

Have a great day!

Ralph Waldo Emerson came to the conclusion that the views of nature held by any people determine all their institutions....HEIKINPAIVA

hmmm, and all this time I thought Ralph Waldo Emerson was an American poet.;)

Talk about thin ice, a couple tried crossing the Portage in lieu of taking the bridge and fell through. It happened early this morning.

Here's another thin ice story, not a person, a house;

Thanks for that bit of history, Hollidays. If it wasn't serious, it would be funny! I'd say that 'Murphy's Law' was working that day.:D

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - 11:01 am:

Did it wake anyone up? I know I would have been one peeved hombre if I fell out of bed.

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - 01:01 pm:

2006 could almost be a double of "Grampa Norm"

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - 02:48 pm:

The natural Winter pics are especially nice.

Alex, you always make me smile!! You do too, Shirley!

Well, Yooper Joe has a bladder stone, he's been on prescription cat food, Dr. said it works better than dog food. It's supposed to disolve 1/2 of the stone. Hopefully, he'll pass the rest out. One problem, he has side effects, he's starting to meow and trying to cover up his ----poop. :)

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 - 04:15 pm:

You're no slouch yourself, Hollidays!;-)
Seriously, hope little Yooper Joe gets rid that stone soon, bless his heart!:>

Thanks Alex for your website. I've been following this and my personal insight has been--Big Brother wants us to monitor each other and tattle---report any activities our neigbor is doing that he doesn't like--and with the other regulation(can't remember bill no) put US. citizen in jail indefinately with no legal support. THIS IS ALL GOING TOO FAR They can deal with illigal copyrights and stealing of music and porm with out taking our rights away!!!!! These are my personal feelings....

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 11:48 am:

Sounds like Abraham Lincoln's tactics way back in the 1860s that not too many people ever read about.....putting people in 'dungeons' for 'political reasons'. "We've NOT come a long way, baby"! Sorry for the politics here!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 01:31 pm:

We seem to be losing a lot of our rights lately. The "Land of the Free" doesn't sound right anymore.

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 01:34 pm:

Here is what Mark Zuckerberg has posted regarding the situation;

Mark Zuckerberg

The internet is the most powerful tool we have for creating a more open and connected world. We can't let poorly thought out laws get in the way of the internet's development. Facebook opposes SOPA and PIPA, and we will continue to oppose any laws that will hurt the internet.

The world today needs political leaders who are pro-internet. We have been working with many of these folks for months on better alternatives to these current proposals. I encourage you to learn more about these issues and tell your congressmen that you want them to be pro-internet.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 03:23 pm:

Hollidays, I think we're losing some of our 'Freedom' because we threw away our 'Bravery'!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 04:08 pm:

I agree Shirley. The "Occupy" movement is just the beginning. It's actually reminding me of the Vietnam Protest Movement. We were all together over that one. We all need to stand up for our rights, especially the rights that we have lost. :(
