Good morning!! Great pictures this morning!! The one of the horse makes me think of Janie :) And we have a picture a lot like the one of the turkeys, only there are 5 or 6 turkeys in ours. They were walking right through our back yard. So cool!! But Fireside Moments is my favorite because it makes me think about Christmas and I'm getting into that mode after decorating my mom's house these past couple of days. It looks so pretty!!

Have a great day everybody!

Fireside Moments makes me remember George Hite!

Deb...hope you are having a wonderful time UP home! I know your trip has given your mother an enjoyable time!

2 in 2003. The poika is wearing a chook, not a hat.

Good Morning! I especially like the Wavy Superior, Fireside Moments, Horse, and Day Break Arrives photos this morning. The two freshly fallen snowy river pictures are pretty, but it's too early for that for me. I know, Thanksgiving is next week, but I'm not a big fan of snow for much of the winter. I remember in the Fall of 2004, we had a Winter Storm here in mid-Michigan that dumped 8 inches of snow for Thanksgiving, which changed a lot of our plans that year!

With all those cold, snowy photos, I'm sittin' here shivering! The horse is my favorite....beautiful creature!

Just wanted you all to know that Uncle Chuck (UC) and Marty are having a great time in the UP. No deer so far, but lots of remembering going on. You might see them on the roadways up there!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 - 11:44 am:

Thanks Norma for the UC update.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 - 12:03 pm:

Norma, tell Uncle Chuck and Marty that if they do 'bag' a deer, make sure it's 'gone to the beyond'. Just read a story in Cincinnati news that a 62yr old fella near Ft. Wayne, IN, called his son and left a message that he 'had just shot a deer', but when the son returned his call, his dad told him that the 'dead' deer had attacked him before he killed it with a knife. When authorities went to investigate, the hunter was dead, apparently from a 'lacerated liver' he received during the struggle with the deer. So very, very sad! You hunters, please be careful!

Great slide show!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 - 03:58 pm:

Best of luck to you, Uncle Chuck, who's gonna bag a buck. :) Be careful like Shirley said. Shirley, could that be "payback"?

Got a light dusting in Ontonagon today, just enough snow to make the landscape picture perfect.

Already have a deer hunter mishap;

Hollidays, I don't know about "payback", but it should wise folks up to the fact that they'd better make sure their prey no longer is 'fighting' for its life. I could never shoot a deer or any other wild creature unless it was putting my life in danger, but I respect the rights of hunters.
