Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Monday, October 31, 2011 - 07:59 am:

Another end of the month has arrived, so it's time to pause and remember those that have gone on before us. It's never easy to say goodbye to our friends and family, so taking time like this each month is our way of doing just that. We call to mind the following folks:

Ann Baril
Marie DeMars
Ernie Lamppa
Bertrand "Bert" Poirer
Servicemen and women who've given their all

Please feel free to remember someone who is near and dear to you on this page, today. Special thanks to John Sturos, for providing us with such a beautiful sunset, to remember and reflect.

I had no idea that Marie DeMars passed away, or Ann Baril either. My sympathy to their families.

Remembering my father-in-law who passed away in October of 2002. He was a wonderful man and a great father-in-law.

Happy Halloween!! Be careful out there!

By Donna (Donna) on Monday, October 31, 2011 - 09:29 am:

SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! But Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth,
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
