I especially like the Ontonagon murals, piggyback pine tree, and train in L'Anse.

Happy Thanksgiving All. I see there's snow at Eagle Harbor and low gray clouds. It's really cold here in Colorado but sunny skies. We had flurries yesterday but the wind blew them away last night. We lost power twice. I am hoping we don't lose power while the turkey is on!

By Daveofmohawk (Daveofmohawk) on Thursday, November 25, 2010 - 12:02 pm:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone: Got about 6 inches of snow here in Mohawk last night and it's still snowing heavily. Watched an interesting documentary on the History Channel last night about the myths and truths of Thanksgiving. The Weds. before Thanksgiving is always said to be one of the busiest travel days of the year, the fact is it's not even in the top 25 (for air travel). The turkey is another one; there is absolutely no documentation that turkey was even on the Pilgrims menu, this is something that is only an assumption. The Native Americans were not invited to the feast, they showed up by surprise and there were some tense moments because they outnumbered the Pilgrims 2 to 1. When they decided to stay for the feast they contributed deer, fish and other game with no mention of turkey. Enough trivia for today, may God Bless all.

I like the trivia.

Mary she's being fashionably late.

Mary says: My hubby says she's just setting the tone, right from the beginning. She's letting us know we'll always be waiting for her. :->
