This sleepy little guy is Anders, Robert C. Wetton's grandson, who looks to have fallen asleep at the table with milk and cookies at hand. I sure hope he wasn't eating the treat he left for Santa! RCW's next two photos show just why young Anders was so sleepy, as he had plenty of fresh air during the day, while he scooped snow for Mom and Dad. His brother Jack got in on the job, too, moving the snow with his toboggan. These two little guys were doing their best to make sure Santa knows they were nice this year and not naughty!

A very Merry Christmas to all. I'm at home in the Keweenaw for the holiday and grateful to have my home here. I'm enjoying the snow right now and know that Santa will have smooth sailing tonight. Stay Save and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas all over the World. Today's weather here in Tennessee would be a day at the beach for those in the Keweenaw. I long to be there! My cousin Bob Wetton, his photo's of his grandson take me back and give me goose bumps of the Christmas's of my childhood.My Mother put together a photo album for me,which is a keepsake of mine, that I take out to show the granddaughter's who live near me here,what child labor was back when I was their age, of how I had to shovel or scoop all that snow out of the way so my Dad,or Papa had a path to take me to the woodshed if I needed a whooping for being bad,which I never was of course. I love to see their eye's get so big as I tell them tales with pictures, that paint a 1000 more words then I could ever say. So I tell them be so very happy and glad that it is 2009 not 1959 and how times have changed for children now a days.

That first photo is going to be me pretty soon after we eat our Christmas Eve dinner and open presents.... ;-)

David Hiltunen, where in Tennessee are you ? I have Children, Grand-Children and a Great Grand Child in and around Hohenwald and Ashland City. I just talked to my son and as you said the weather there is mild compered to the Keweenaw. I wished that I could be there with them, but I had to work a half day today. This time of the year is when I want all of my family with me. But reality set's in and I know that isn't alway's possible.

Both kids are in bed. Just waiting for totally convincing snoring
noises so DuneSanta can come to lay presents under the tree
and eat a cookie or two.

Strong east wind out there tonight; one of those rare nights
when you hear the wind but the big lake is quiet because the
wind is blowing offshore. Our dirt road was a sheet of ice this
evening. Be safe out there.

Exactly so, especially for the last few days. I've been missing my pasty fix while Internet connectivity via COX cable has been intermittent at best. I guess too many people are at home for the holidays, with nothing better to do than burn up the Cox connection! {smile}
