Ernies gas station was built in 1933 by the Berg brothers of Frenchgully as a gas station with "mechanics pit" and not as a railroad depot as has been stated on pasty.com. I do have pictures of the old depot from around the same location near Hainaults barber shop.

The temperature in Calumet was 38 degrees as I got up this morning. They predict a high today of 81. That's a 43 degree difference!! I'll believe it when it happens. There is still snow on the Morrison School playground.
