Help...I've fallen (into a pile of 1040's) and I can't get UP!

Nice waterfall pictures today, that's what I've been waiting for.

By John W Anderson (Wd8rth) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 09:25 am:

It is with great sadness, that I announce the passing of my mother, Betty (Frimodig) Anderson of Escanaba. Mom was born in Houghton, and had just celebrated her 90th birthday in March. She always had a love for the Copper Country and spent many fall color seasons in Copper Harbor, if not baking pies and rolls at the Pine, she worked at a number of the gift shops in the Harbor. Or just relaxing at her brother cottage on Lake Medora.

John, so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her at an auxilary meeting in Escanaba a few years ago. Such a lovely lady. Her and her brother were both special people.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 10:53 am:

John, I too am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Things like this always made me sad, but now I understand completely what you're going through. My heart aches for you and your family. Know that you have a whole network of friends who are thinking about you and praying for you and your family. You take care.

John, sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I understand what you are going through at this time. Tomorrow would have been my dad's 93rd birthday. He has been gone for almost 19 years. I still miss him.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 11:35 am:

John, so sorry about you losing your mom. Monday (4/20) would be my mom's 107th birthday, but we lost her at the age of 87 in 1989. With the death of any loved one being sad, I think the death of a parent is the saddest...because it means we are no longer "someone's child". May God give you and your family comfort!

By Sharon I. Smith (Sharons) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 12:02 pm:

John, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I'd met her - she was a fixture at the Pines when I vacationed here in Copper Harbor in the '70s and '80s. She was a lovely lady, with a smile and a laugh with everyone, and she was a terrific pie baker! She was one of the last of the Copper Harbor old-timers I miss so much. My thoughts are with you.

John sending my condolences to you and your family.

Good afternoon! I, too, fell into a pile of tax forms that I am trying to dig my way out of, so I missed morning on Pasty. I am taking a break for a few minutes now, before I dig back in. Yes, I know, had I done it earlier, I would have had our refunds a lot faster, but I was waiting for some forms that were delayed.

I love the waterfall pictures, especially, today. Jacobs Falls, in particular, is one of my very favorite places!

John, I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing! My parents died 20 years ago, but I still miss them dearly, so I truly do understand what you are going through now. My deepest sympathy to you and your family!

John--So sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like she was a wonderful lady and you must have a lot of good memories.

By Richard Wieber (Dickingrayling) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 04:13 pm:

John-------I wasn't lucky enough to have known your mother. Was she Mack"s sister? My brother, Ferd, was a chum of Mack's in high school before the war. It's always hard to lose a parent. It's troubling to realize we are now "the older generation". Please let God comfort you.

By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Saturday, April 11, 2009 - 04:26 pm:

John- my condolences to you and your family, may your memories carry you thru the hard times.
