Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 05:03 am:

I found today's shot in Roger Kangas' Gallery Album, where he has it labeled, Laura's work. No matter who's work it is, it's an interesting shot, with the stumps wearing snowy hats, resembling berets. On second glance, they look somewhat mushroom like, albeit rather LARGE mushrooms and probably not poisonous either. But wait, if I look again, I can see a stool to sit upon. Scenes like this across the U.P., get the imagination up and running.

I must still be asleep.
They looked like out-houses to me.
Sorry, I haven't even had a cup of coffee yet.

By Theresa R. Brunk (Trb0013) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 06:13 am:

On my first glance I thought they were the mushrooms from Disneys' Fantasia. lol but I haven't had my coffee yet either :)

Mother Nature's artistry.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 07:17 am:

My first thought was the same as Brent's, that on first glance, they looked like little outhouses, but with chef's hats on them, LOL! And, I haven't had my morning iced tea, yet. :-) Nice picture, Brent. Thank you, Brent Kangas and Mary for this morning's picture.

By Richard Johnson (Dick_fl) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 07:54 am:

I'm just having my coffee and I think Brent is right. And Marianne too. But whatever they look like they are in the UP, and that is GOD'S country so all is right with the world.

Great photo Roger!! Another one of my favorites is COLD COTTON CANDY. I just simply love the snow and am happiest when there is lots of that white stuff floating in the air.

By Serena Sturm (Serena) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 08:32 am:

I agree with Theresa... mushroom! I don't know about mixing it with whip cream though.... EWWWWW

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 09:22 am:

I think Richards had too much coffee! It amazes me how snow stays put like that.

By Rosemary Whitmire (Sassy) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 10:03 am:

The snow is beautiful, but to think I'm leaving the warm south to join all of you in this frigid beauty.

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 10:42 am:

Cindy & Kathryn, can you tell that I'm working on the church's Christmas pagent--King James version this year. We're going all the way from Simeon to Zacharias and Elizabeth then back to Simeon. I'm lucky enough to have a Black King this year--he's from the Cameroons.
