On this day of giving thanks, we're reminded of one more reason to be thankful... beautiful sunsets over the Copper Country. This one is from Sharon Smith, who was lucky enough to capture a sun pillar as it shot up into the sky, as it was going down on the Copper Harbor horizon. It's a good scene for us to pause and think of the many things in our lives for which we are thankful. An attitude of gratitude is a good way of life.

Thanksgiving Day blessings to all! We recieved 4 in. of snow, hubby and I have already been snowmobiling and dipped into the pumpkin pie this morning! Life s good!

Go Lions!!! Though I doubt they'll win, I'll still be pulling for them.

We sent e-mail Thanksgiving wishes out and not realizing, included one to a former exchange student in Sweden. She answered back, thanking us for the thought but gently reminding us that Thanksgiving was not observed in her country!
We received a e-mail this morning from our navy son who is on a ship in the Bangladesh area, carrying Marines, waiting orders to help out with the rescue and cleanup after the terrible cyclone that took so many thousands of lives there. So much to give thanks for!

I'm thankful to log into Pasty Cam every day and get a glimpse of my faraway home. Thank you, Charlie and Mary, and all the photographers and folks who post here.

Paul: My prayers are with your son and the people of Bangladesh who are suffering as a result of the cyclone there. Whenever I see it on the news I have George Harrison singing "Bangladesh" in my head. That region has been devastated before. I can't imagine what it is like there.
