Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Friday, January 10, 2014 - 11:42 pm:

There have been a few turkey spottings around the Bootjack area lately and Linda Schnellar was able to get a few pictures of them for us, today. I suppose since Thanksgiving and Christmas are both behind us, they feel comfortable coming out and being seen.
Seriously, though, I think seeing turkeys around the Keweenaw used to be a rare sighting, but it seems they're becoming regulars here UP North.

After those turkeys had trotted off, Linda turned her camera to the evergreen trees in her last photo. Talk about beautiful, with all that snow clumped on the branches, they look like they been covered in frosting. Simple winter beauty.

Love your photos, Linda! We used to see wild turkeys in ND....I think they're beautiful!
Also, those trees are very pretty! Thank you for sharing these pix with us.

Great pictures.

I had to stop and wait for a whole family of
turkeys to cross the road before I could continue
on my way today. It was a sight to behold, but we
see them often out here.

I LOVE that last picture!
