Christmas Day-What'sUP December 25 - 10:59 pm

Frank Jezek sent in the first three photos today. Just a few scenes looking out from his Lake Superior home in the Ontonagon area. His first shot is perfect for Christmas Day, I thought, since it shows the calm of the morning sunrise, yet the bank of clouds hanging directly over Lake Superior remind you that it's anything but calm here UP North this winter.

The other two photos from Frank, are just perfect Christmas card scenes, with the sky turning pink and the trees covered in snow. Only thing that could make them better is if there were some twinkling lights underneath the snow.

Today's last photo wishes everyone a Merry Christmas from all of us here at Pasty Central! The photo was snapped by Jeff Dennis at the Lake Linden-Hubbell Elementary Christmas Music Program. That's the first grade class with Jeff's daughter, the fourth from the right in the back row and my grandson, the first kid on the left in the back row. They were singing, "I'm gettin' nothing for Christmas" and by the time you read this, we'll know if that's true or not! ;-)

Hope you're having a peaceful kind of day…remember the reason for the season!

Love the pictures and hope you're having a great time in Belize, Capt & Dr!! We had a Christmas Eve mini blizzard last night. It reminded me of home. 48 hours from now I'll be there, God willing. Hoping the weather cooperates.
