Kelly Grandinetti and her family have passed by Scott Falls on their way to visit family here in the Copper Country, many times, but until recently, they've never stopped to check out the falls. Scott Falls is located on M-28, about 10 miles west of Munising near the town of Autrain.

It's not a very large waterfall, but it is unique in that you can walk right behind the flowing water, without getting wet. You can see Kelly and her daughter behind the water in the second photo and then in the next one, Kelly is snapping a shot of her husband and daughter, from behind the waterfall. Pretty neat!

That's quite a rock wall and tangle of branches that Kelly's daughter is standing by in the last photo. Nature sure can do some amazing things, all on it's own, so I'm glad that Kelly and Co. finally made the stop there and took us along on their 'rest stop'.

Thanks, Kelly! what a cool spot!

Charlie, I hope things start to level out for you. You do a remarkable job. Just be sure to be good to yourself and get in some rest and rejuvenation, somehow. God bless!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, August 23, 2013 - 07:05 am:

Charlie, Thank You for the dedication and the time you have been putting in for us Pasty Family! Hoping these time consuming events come to a soon end so you and Edie have some much well deserved "your" time!

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Friday, August 23, 2013 - 07:37 am:

Beautiful. The U.P. is blessed with so many waterfalls.

Let me echo what Greta and Janie said above. You
have had a crazy summer, Charlie! Do try to
remember time for yourself...

What they all said, Charlie!! And I'm really hoping that Edie is doing better!

By Allen W. Philley (Allen) on Friday, August 23, 2013 - 08:06 am:

These photos give me a chill even though it was probably a very warm day.
Charlie, I second all the other comments...take care of yourself.
Thanks Kelly and Mary!

While we're patiently waiting for today's photos to be uploaded, here's a glimpse of what Charlie has been up to lately and the reason for the late postings of the daily photos:

Charlie - UP High!

Special thanks to Dane Christensen for snapping and sending 'Charlie working UP High!'

You used to be able to walk behind Munising Falls too! It was great.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, August 23, 2013 - 11:15 am:

Oh my! Mary and Dane, that's spooky! Evidently Charlie has no fear of heights.:<

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Friday, August 23, 2013 - 11:29 am:

Very nice photos, In all the years that I've been in the U.P. I never knew about this waterfall until I was stopped right next to it while waiting for a Paving crew and my turn to continue moving on 28. Like Vicki sez...Honey, you're real observant! lol

Charlie- wear your safety harness! and yes, big thanks for all you and Mary do!

By Karen Benton (Nerakthenice178) on Friday, August 23, 2013 - 05:03 pm:

Charlie, I second Uncle Chuck!! Brave man doing courageous things still needs safety net! :) Stay safe and healthy, and may Edie continue improving so that you can finally take some well-deserved time for yourselves. Mary, the pictures are great, as always, and I still haven't stopped to check those falls out even though I've passed them 50 times (coming + going) in the last 25 years of Camp Ekpots travel. Guess I have to really learn to slow down and enjoy the beauty.
