Lake Superior draws you to her shores for so many different reasons and even the little ones are awed by the Big Lake, so it's fun to introduce them to her vastness, like Deb Simons and her hubby, Ron did recently. They came to the Keweenaw to visit Deb's Mom and brought along two of their grandkids, one of which had never seen the glory of Lake Superior. Her reaction? According to Deb, she loved it and I think the smiles on the kids faces confirms it.

Superior wasn't the only smile maker of the trip, though. Their visit to the Lake Linden Park brought out some big smiles and maybe even some giggles in there, too. Just look at the pure joy on that little girls face as she's swinging so high, her little feet can almost touch the sky! It doesn't get much better than this!

I wish we were still there, but she got lonely for her mom and dad. She was in awe of the waves and when they'd go to her waist she'd just laugh and run out of the water, lol. I'm so happy to be the one to introduce her to this spectacular lake. My grandson has been there every summer so it was nothing for him to be in there for 45 minutes or so. Even I went in for crying out loud! It was such a fun time. I made her a book of her visit up there so she never forgets the fun times we had. The day wore her out so completely that she fell asleep as soon as she hit her car seat. Fun times and good memories! Thanks for sharing these, Mary!

Why thanks, Capt!! It was fun to bring them. I was happy to introduce my little granddaughter to Lake Superior and she really was amazed. It's not something you'd expect from someone so young, but she seemed to know that that particular lake was something special. But, when you see the little lakes around here, that one's just a tad bit larger, lol!
