Morning everyone!

The blast from the past brings many fond memories of my youth. We would clear off Elder Grove Dam in Mohawk and play hockey most every weekend. After the game we would fill buckets of water from a hole in the ice and flood the surface so it would be smooth to play another day. We even had a shack with a barrel stove. There we could change into our skates, and also get warm.

Hey Old Mohawk kid, where was Elder Grove Dam?

Elder Grove Dam was just across the railroad tracks behind Mike Supanich's house on Ahmeek street. There was a trail that went past the dam, up the hill, and through the woods to Seneca Lake.

Wow, what happened to the windsock at the airport? It sure looks chilly up there. Hope everyone is keeping warm. We had to have the air on today....high 78/79.
