Good morning....looks like autumn...finally! On my way to Tennesse Wednesday....will see a little color, but probably not much. (A whole lot more than in Florida, though!)

Thanks Yooper, great chuckle to start the day!
Gilbsulmum; Tennessee is a beautiful state, hope you see some color.
80 degrees today in SW Michigan. Summer will not let go until mid next week. Dry summer has our leaves dropping green.

This week we lost a dear friend and great fan of the Pasty Net, Bill Penprase. Bill and his late wife, Ruth, were life-long friends of mine, and were my U.P. Connection out here on the West Coast. After introducing Bill to this website he became an enthusiast and would often call me to make sure I had seen one thing or another on it that day. He had an incredible memory of early days in the Copper Country, many interesting and colorful anecdotes, and knowledge of the area that surpassed anyone I have known. There is a huge void with both of them gone now. I am glad they are together, but I miss them daily, and life away from the U.P. out here will not be the same.

Temps here on Lake Michigan's southern shores are almost in the 80's today. Hubby and I took advantage of the warm temps to 'play' in the water. Translation: we fired up the pressure washer and washed all the outside windows and screens...on both floors.
Now I am headed back outside, to play in the water my way...in the pool. Did someone say 'beer'?

llamamama....I agree, Tennessee is lovely. We're headed to the northeast corner, which I think is particularly so. Lots of mountains and small towns...usually do hit some color....about a third of the way to peak. Am really eager for some autumn weather as well....usually perfect...high 60's, low 70's during the day and into the 40's at night. Can't wait! All this and storytelling to boot...it just doesn't get any better....unless you're in the UP! :)
