John Adams once wrote some advice to his friend Benjamin Franklin "The moment an American minister gives a loos to his passion for women, that moment he is undone." Bill Clinton didn't listen.
The bottom line on our global financial problems today is nothing but GREED! Are our ministers even noticing?

Pat & Glenda: you must be answering a different question than the one I see posted.(?)

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 08:27 am:

Perhaps Politics and Religion maybe the better thread for the Gormfrog post....just saying.

By FJL (Langoman) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 09:13 am:

Am I reading a "Gloomy Gus" post??

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 09:21 am:

That chipmunk picture is cute.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 09:50 am:

Gormfrog, maybe not relevant to this board, but good point!;> (thankfully in the U.S. of A., we do still have 'free speech', wherever)

By Diana P. (Diana) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 09:56 am:

Oh, the pasty photo looks delicious ... and I like the chippy pic too! We have one lone chippy that comes around for raw peanuts to eat and stock his burrow ... doesn't cause any trouble here ... looks in the glass doorwall if he hears me in the kitchen. He does bring smiles!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 09:57 am:

FJL; LOL!

By FRNash/PHX, AZ (Frnash) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 11:24 am:

The 1999 picture is "The Still Waters Garden Revisited"?

Either that garden wasn't very well cared for (clearly not watered), or that's just a pair of "sand sharks" in the desert. {grin}

By Marsha, Genesee/Aura (Marsha) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 11:37 am:

By the way (and I wouldn't dare abbreviate that after this week's earlier posts!), Sharon Smith caught some beautiful sunset pictures from around 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. last night. For those who don't know, click below on "Bridge Cam", then click "Sharon Smith". Go to livecam and click back through the numbers below the live picture until you get to last evening. Also read the journal daily!

By Sharon I. Smith (Sharons) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 12:22 pm:

Thanks for the plug, Marsha.

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 12:24 pm:

Nice pics!

By Robert - CO (Halork) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 01:13 pm:

Sharon's new camera takes some really nice pics; it's higher resolution than the old one and picks up a lot more subtle color. I've been enjoying the upgrade!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 01:46 pm:

Awesome FJL!! ROTFL!! You do have a sense of humor!! Good for you, just had to post the right post to bring it out!! :)

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 02:37 pm:

Another fine slide show (I'm running out of different ways to comment).

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 03:56 pm:

Just got around to checking out the pictures, and the ones that got to me the most were the (yummy ;9) pasties, and the sad old (sniff) rusty locomotive! I love trains!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 04:02 pm:

FRNash, You sure don't miss a thing. Funny! :)
Would have never spotted that.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 04:10 pm:

BTW, some of you mentioned Sharon's cam and site, which I'm sure we all enjoy very much, but also wanted to say that it's so good to see George's 'window' opened up once again. (we're waitin' for the writin', Mr. Hite) :)

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 04:43 pm:

Stillwaters Garden is desertification at its best!! ;-)

Love the 2003 shot as well. Definitely fills me with great memories of working at Quincy for so many years; some days I wish I was still working there....

By FRNash/PHX, AZ (Frnash) on Friday, October 28, 2011 - 10:11 pm:

I'm glad to see that "The Still Waters Garden" came back to life; no more desert, no more "sand sharks"! Nice!
