Of all the subjects considered on this day of the Pasty Cam, which two years were the most alike?

Good photos. Those blueberries DO look yummy.

Good morning!! Slept in this morning!! I just love that picture by Paul in the slideshow! That is so awesome, and I can't wait to get my hands on some blueberries. Sure do hope they're not all picked over by the time we get there. Those and the thought of thimbleberries are making my mouth water.

Gonna storm here again today. Yesterday we got 3 more inches of rain. The lakes around here can't take anymore. Flooding going on all around here. There are no wake zones on all the lakes. It's awful. Wish we could send it to those people who really need it.

Oh well, have a great day, everybody!!

Can just image biting into a juicy blueberry with a mouthful of oatmeal! I freeze as much as my little freezer can hold, for the winter.

We've seen people picking blueberries all over the Peninsula the past couple days. The ones we have enjoyed seem to be a little sweeter this year than I remember. I'm sure the cold spring/early summer had something to do with it.

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 09:32 am:

Well at age 52 I made it thru my first colonoscopy yesterday and all is well. However, I was also scoped down the throat and they found two large polys that are micro bleeding and needed to be biopsied. Hope to have the results next week and I was told they have to be removed. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried, but hoping for the best. They couldn't take them yesterday because my doctor said a surgeon needed to be present in case of bleeding. Oh well, back to work, hope to get U.P. to L.B. later this month or in Sept., brother Mike, Marty and I do plan to be there for deer season. Really missin the Copper Country right now! Hope all who are U.P. are having a great time.

Make that "polyps", sorry

I thought a heard a rendition of "Moon River" yesterday from the south; now I know the cause!! ;-)

You better get well soon UncleChuck; those deer at Betsy won't know how to act this fall without the boys around......

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 02:35 pm:

Uncle Chuck, good deal you got in to get this done. Sending prayers and good wishes everything comes out normal! My oldest brother has had polyps found and had surgery. Everything came out normal, but because of that, I'm in every 5 years for rechecks. I hope I am a good girl while under the sedatives for Dr. A$$man! (Seinfield)

By DEAN SCHWARTZ SR. (Lulu) on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 02:40 pm:

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 04:47 pm:

Dean, rain is over, you'll have a great time. The weather is a bit warm but not near 105° like it is down south. Enjoy your vacation.

No rain, but the fog is rolling into Calumet as I type. Had lunch today with Bill Haller (MrBill) and his wife at Quincy's and had a wonderful time. On the docket tomorrow; Ontonagon and the Porcupines.....

Hey UC ~

Know these are routine 98% of the time and expect the same for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers, my NMU brother! Try to behave and do what those docs tell you and all will be in order for deer season.

Keep us posted on the results!

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - 09:49 pm:

Good luck, Uncle Chuck. I'm sure all will be fine.

We'll be enjoying the Copper Country next week. There are several other pasty cammists that we plan to get together with. Wish you were one of them. Some year, right?
