Good morning!! Another storm on the way here. This is getting so old, especially when I know there are so many of you out there who need rain.

Well, TGIF!! Have a great weekend everybody!!

By Charlie at Pasty Central (Chopper) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:00 am:

During today's review, in which year(s) do we see a ladder?

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:00 am:

Top of the morning to you all!!

That would be 2003.

It's quite remarkable to give an answer in less than a minute after the question is posted, and the slideshow is more than a minute long!!

The fine art of mind reading.

Great minds think alike?? (and a little bit of luck as well...)

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:00 am:

I saw one in 2003, but I also saw what looked to be a ladder in 2007!!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:04 am:

Yep...2003 and possibly 2007

By Donna (Donna) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:14 am:

Gotta back up Deb and Alex...there's a ladder in 2007 too. They've got good eyes!!

By sometimesyooper (Nancyd) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:19 am:

After seeing that view of Sand Bay, I didn't care about the ladder! So beautiful. Can't wait to get my toes in that sand. A week from today, I'll be there! Is Michigan building a parking area across the road there? Will there be facilities, does anyone know?

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:20 am:

I'm not sure if that is a ladder in 2007 or just the ribbing and cross-bracing of the "ark".

I love the 2008 photo; that was my desktop background for a long time and still use it from time to time. It is a awesomely great shot!

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:26 am:

Thanks, Donna. I thought it looked like one, that's for sure.

I like 2008, but my favorite is of the Jacobsville lighthouse!!

By Rowdy (Roudymi) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 10:24 am:

That Jacobsville Light house is special isn't it? There use to be a set of steps going down to the break wall. To the left of center. It sorta looks like they're still there. Refurbished if they are.

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 03:28 pm:

Thanks again 4 more nostalga.

By Orin M. Pelto (Pluto) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 08:28 pm:

I'll bet even money that God didn't abandon that little church. Imagine if you will all of the prayers that were sent skyward within those doors.
It still looks peaceful with a big dash of what our founding father's meant when they gave us freedom of religion.

By jbuck (Jbuck) on Friday, July 15, 2011 - 09:35 pm:

Good point Pluto!

I was going to post that every time i see that picture it makes me sad to see the church wasn't repaired and was eventually torn down. But the Spirit remains! Thanks for your positive thought on the matter!
