We've had the good fortune to visit this historic bridge over the Dead River in Marquette County, during two different seasons...twice in the fall ((Oct. 9, 2004 - Oct. 6, 2010) and twice again in the winter -(Feb. 5, 2010 - Mar. 8, 2011). With these Spring photos today from Brandy Greet, we add another season to our repertoire. This historic piece of architecture is certainly a popular subject to photograph, due to its uniqueness and "old country road" look. We've almost completed all four seasons at this spot, so I guess we'll have to send someone out once summer has arrived to bring us back the only one missing from the series. ;-)

We are aware of some technical problems with the site this morning. Check back later if it is not displaying properly.

This is the first time I was able to access the site today. Thanks,
Charlie.

FYI: The DISCUS "New messages feature" is still busted. That link just leads to the home page now.

Do you know someone who likes lots and lots of bugs?

In the news Sunday and today, are reports of a man trapped in an Idaho silver mine. The Lucky Friday Mine is owned by the The Hecla Mining Co., which claims to be one of the Nation's oldest precious metals mining companies. Back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, many new mining companies worked "Calumet" or "Hecla" into their corporate names to imply a connection to C&H. Let's hope that they find 53 year old Larry Marek alive and well.

Love those steel truss bridges, and the river pic is nice, 2.
