The snow-cover we received on Monday and Tuesday is melting away and depending where you live, you might still have some laying around. Other places it's pretty much gone, but will be returning in the near future once again. Today's top photo from Becky McKay, is a study in snow/no snow, actually taken on Monday, with Twin Lakes on the left and Misery Bay on the right. What a difference some mileage makes. Depending on what activities you plan, you can make your choice and go where there's snow or where there's not.

Domina, Virginia Hoffman's pup, decided during the falling snow that it was time to go outside for a stroll, so on went her puffy vest to keep warm and out she pranced to see what all the hoopla about that white stuff falling, was. That pose is too funny, like she's afraid to set her paw down on that chilled ground.

Today's bottom photo is a view from sitting high up in Stan LaMuth's deer blind. For those of us that have never done so, it's a vision into what it's like to sit in a little shack waiting and watching. Can you find the deer? Stan let these two pass right by, since they weren't what he was he was looking for, but not too long after he shot this photo, he shot his gun and now has a freezer full of venison for months to come.

If you're in one of the areas that the snow has all but melted, have no fear, it will return, so keep those snow scoops handy!

Definitely recognized Misery Bay!

Nice pictures!

Domina is a good girl to wear her pretty sweater. Our Scottie boys shrugged them right off, I think their sweaters must be itchy.

Looks like what Domina needs are leggings! Bet those little legs get awfully cold in the snow! Janie T, your Scotties are a bit better prepared....shorter legs and longer hair.;)

I love the picture of Domina. You can almost see her saying, "Eeeooouuu!" to the snow, and definitely not wanting to put her paw down! My guys, who have shorter legs and a lot more fur, are finally ok with snow, but when it gets very deep (something below their chest levels), we have to shovel a path for them to run around and play in the backyard, looking for their squirrel friends, etc.

Winter weather is here.

Hi
I also used to own a black and white dog, but there the resemblance ends. She was a 75-pound Alaskan Malamute and totally fine with snow (even the insides of her ears were furry).

Janie T, we used to have a Shiba Inu and she became a 'snowplow' in winter....she'd go completely down in front, run and shovel the snow with her snout, then roll in it and come back in the house all covered with snow 'balls'. :)
