Who ever said that girls don't like to get dirty? Certainly not this group of ladies who decided to head out on the trails in search of some muddin' fun. Kassandra Kallio was the designated photographer for the group and she captured the ride quite well, I'd have to say. The girls are all smiles in their "before" photo, but the expressions change throughout, from shock, to laughter and pure fun. Look beyond the 4 wheeler in the third photo, the one where Anna's expression says, "Are you kidding, we're going to do this again?" and take note of the size of that mud hole. The girls took another run at that puddle, with the photographer snapping away....almost makes you want to duck yourself, when you look at that fourth shot. Of course the last photo is what the girls looked like when their ride was finished for the day. Yooper girls rock!

JT should enjoy these photos. Looks like the UP version of a relaxing day at the mud-bath spa :)

By Donna (Donna) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 07:53 am:

LOL....GREAT pics...what fun!! Hi Anna!!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 07:58 am:

Alex you are so right!!! Having 2, 4 wheel drive quad runners and 20 acres with 5 of those still under some mud and flood water from '08, I'm lovin' it!!!!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 08:05 am:

Now to perfect the real fun in this is, no windshield and lots of mud all over yourself, these gals came out way to clean. lol!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 08:21 am:

WOW! I see some gals who are desperate for a 'good time'! :>

JT: Did you notice...where are those HELMETS?
I don't think they have to worry about messing up their hair.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 08:45 am:

Alex...yes,helmets are a must! If on your own property, then it's a choice. When we are finished "mudding" on our home turf, we always have a new hair "do" from what we start out with. We went with the mud room option when we built our house.

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 08:51 am:

looks like they just got wet.

By Yooperguide (Huntandfish) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 08:56 am:

No helmets required for a side-by-side.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 09:01 am:

Hi yooperguide! How the Hel-met are ya?

By Yooperguide (Huntandfish) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 09:21 am:

Muddy fine, Janie!

Some interesting ads relating to mud at the bottom
of this page.

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 04:41 pm:

Well, if it's fun to them, go 4 it!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 05:31 pm:

Forget about the helmets; the last time I checked, those things aren't designed for six people to ride in.

Oh and btw; Michigan state law requires all ORV operators and passengers to wear a U.S. Department of Transportation–approved crash helmet. Not that I agree with the law, I'm just saying....

By Yooperguide (Huntandfish) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 05:48 pm:

I beg to differ Capt. Been riding our side-by-side for a long time with no helmets. Here is the rule;

For Operators and Passengers
All ORV operators and passengers must wear a U.S. Department of Transportation–approved crash helmet and protective eyewear or goggles, except when the ORV is equipped with an approved roof and the operator and passengers are wearing properly adjusted and fastened safety belts.

The roll bar is the approved roof, some, like ours, have a canvas top or hard top and there are seat belts in all side-by-side 4 wheelers.

Way to go ladies! Marty and I are very jealous! Those pictures should be a commercial. I agree with Mary, Yooper girls do rock! lol

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 08:49 pm:

Charlie, I was checking out the ads like you said and I am wondering...what is Mud Jacking? I have heard of car jacking, but does someone plan to steel my mud?

By Uncle Chuck at Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Thursday, June 3, 2010 - 11:51 pm:

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Friday, June 4, 2010 - 08:52 am:

My Uncle bought one last year so him and my Aunt can go out together. They like it.
