If you have never been in a kayak, paddling along in peaceful waters, you don't know what you're missing. To give you an idea, though, John Sturos snapped some pictures while he was out kayaking in Copper Harbor recently. From gliding underneath a footbridge, to checking out the Isle Royale Queen IV, then heading over to the Lighthouse and finally enjoying a front "wave" seat to watch the sun set with the Queen nearby on her sunset cruise. It's a paddler's dream for sure.

I recommend the Sunset Cruise on the Queen! "Freighter chasing" the Mesabi Miner on Lake Superior was an awesome experience!

Where is that wonderful arched bridge?
I've been there several times and have never seen that? On the hiking trail near the Marina?

Good photos. I like that rustic bridge, especially.

Wes Scott, that bridge is on private property which connects the property on Harbor Lane to Duck Island. It's a beautiful, pristine private area that is off the beaten paths in Copper Harbor. I owned a small log cabin just yards away from that bridge and have paddled under it numerous times, sometimes with only inches under the craft. Without a doubt, a BEAUTIFUL spot!!

Fantastic bridge! I was so curous where it was
as I've hiked around and never saw it.
Btw, pasty cam is a great asset to the area
as I just booked a cabin at copper harbor.

Wes, have a GREAT time in Copper Harbor! Kudos to Pasty Cam indeed!!

It shows up on google earth nicely.
I'll have to take my kayak. The harbor will be
a nice paddle. Copper harbor is wonderful
and I can't wait. What night owls on pasty cam!

Nice shots! Any from Copper Harbor are great. I
just can't get over how low the water level is,
though - wow. You used to have to duck down in the
boat to get under that bridge. Now it looks as
though you could almost stand up straight - yikes!
It was a lot easier to get around all that exposed
rock that used to be underwater, too.
