Frederic W. Koski brings us several signs that spring has definitely sprung....the return of the robin (our State Bird) and the deep purple crocus that the squirrel in the second photo seems to be eyeing up, maybe for a little snack. Even though we've been experiencing warmer than normal days and an early spring here UP North, we've had our share of chilly days along the way, too. With spring's arrival, it sure is nice to see the birds and little animals scurrying about again. I'm thinking that Frederic must have nerves of steel to have sat still long enough to snap today's photos, since I don't think either squirrel or the robin were poised there long for those shots. Nice job, Frederic!

Isn't it great seeing robins again? But the last picture of the squirrel is awesome. Too bad the little monsters have to try to eat all of my bird food!!!!

I see the gray squirrel (all gloved and formal) would like you to know that the red squirrel has been helping itself to the contents of your bird feeder, the naughty thief!

As kids we had a squirrel that lived in the house for 4 years. Use to let the dog out in the evening and the squirrel would run out the door behind the dog and then when our dog came in for the night, the squirrel was right behind the dog to get in. The squirrel would run through the living room, dining room, down the hallway to my brothers bedroom and up on the shelf in the closet it would go to curl up in a sheep skinned lined coat my brother put up there. It did that for 4 years. Never bit anybody. We had to keep everything off the kitchen table because it always got into it. It was fun.

Thank you for the nice comments, the gray was checking out the black sunflower seed for the birds.
