Charlie, we should all be thanking you for giving us this wonderful place to have that "ahh" feeling for at least a few moments every day. I enjoy looking at every picture and reading messages from life-long Yoopers, displaced Yoopers, and Yooper-wannabes like myself. One thing we all share is the love for the awesome beauty and wonder of that unique part of our state. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful site.

Charlie and Company, I'll third that "Thank you!!". I was born in Marquette, raised in the LP; however, I very proudly consider myself a Yooper. Every vacation my family took while I was growing up was "Up North", to the UP. The UP is absolutely my favorite place in the world. I found your site by chance, when my two children were students at Tech, starting in 2001. Thank you so much for letting me be "Up North" in the UP every day since then!

Yes indeed...thank you Charlie and all of Pasty! I "grew up" on Pasty...when I first got the internet..it was through Pasty.com...you guys helped so much...Thanks for that too!

I'd like to add my thanks for Pasty central. I am throughly hooked on it and look at it daily even when I am actually IN the U.P.! But I love it most when I am not there, because I feel connected.

In memory of my mother-in-law, Florence Couture Chartrand...a true, blue, Yooper. She was raised by the nuns in the Marquette Orphanage, was adopted by a wonderful family in Escanaba, married and moved to Munising to raise her family of 3 boys and a girl (my wife) and then on to Green Bay, Wi. where she passed on 8-5-09 at the age of 75. When perturbed with her son-in-law, she would raise her fists to me and exclaim: "I'll give you one of these (right fist)and two of these!"(left fist)...Rest in peace, Flo. We miss you!
