What's the name of the sack that should be kept dry?

By Steve Haagen (Radsrh) on Friday, December 11, 2009 - 08:06 am:

Nice try, but we were looking for a sack, not a shack :o)

OK, this has nothing to do with today's photos BUT, if I would keep one sack (not shack), it would be Santa's sack of toys!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, December 11, 2009 - 08:14 am:

Nice pics, except for the 2004. Who would do such a thing to a motorcycle? Bikes are our friends.

By Gary W. Long (Gary_in_co) on Friday, December 11, 2009 - 08:39 am:

Alex: I think the answer to your 2004 motorcycle question would be non other than Heikki Lunta.

Thanks Gary...that must be the UP version of winterizing. I notice your a firefighter is CO. It must get extra ruff fighting fires in the wintertime. Every now and then, there is a segment on the local news of a fire in Metro-Detroit and everything is coated with ice.
Thanks for the hard work.

I like the handy dandy pocket on his ice teepee, aka.."Love Shack". Looks like it had seen a lot of use. Pretty soon we'll be able to ice fish.

Aren't most fish supposed to be kept on ice to keep from spoiling??

Cue crying trombone (Wah Wah Waaaahh)...... ;-)

By Dale Beitz (Dbeitz) on Friday, December 11, 2009 - 10:32 am:

And what sort of bait does one use when fishing for ice?
(cue rimshot)

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, December 11, 2009 - 10:51 am:

Ice fishing my bass! I have to put on gloves just to get Gordon’s filet of fish out of my freezer.

A refridgerated hook works best.

Wonderful photos. Eagle Harbor Lighthouse is nice.

We made it back up here a couple of hours ago. We left early Wednesday morning to take the kid who helped us move home and went through all of that bad weather and on the way back up here we hit a lot of white outs-but we are here. ;O) Now comes the fun part of getting things unpacked, which will be a good time to start throwing out stuff, again. Friends of Bills downstate gave him a snowblower, a lawnmower and a weed wacker. We made it.;O)

I enjoy ice fishing, the problem is that they melt before I get home.

By Ken ja Mimi from da UP (Kenjamimi) on Friday, December 11, 2009 - 10:11 pm:

Did you hear about the fella who went ice fishing and came home with 200# of ice? Then his wife tried to fry it and almost drowned them. Sorry. :o)
