When did the first rocket launched from Michigan enter space? (Hint: It was from the Keweenaw Rocket Range)

Good morning everyone...first rocket launched on January 29, 1971

A photo finish... 10 seconds quicker and yours would be the bird.

Looking for Pete Olson's Fan Birds. Have looked at several Fan carving sites and do not care for their styles as well as his. Wanting to get one for my mother for Christmas.

Good morning!

Oh my! I do love the snow cones picture. That one is so very different.

Off to work and then to see the Radio City Christmas Music Spectacular! Might as well, they're playing Christmas music in the stores already. I hope it's a good show. I've heard it is.

Have a great day everybody!

Interesting story regarding the rocket range, including the final launch on January 29, 1971. (Or was in January 31st?)

Thank you Kosk for your memories of the lullabies from Friday's What's Up page. I wonder if anyone else has memories (and the spelling) of those old favorites??? The Debs are going to want to learn them to sing to the new grandbabies (if they don't already know them).

Hey everybody! Wouldn't you know it? I had the chance to see the Gophers play the Wolverines today for free, and the Wolverines actually beat them. WOW!! The little brown jug goes home to Ann Arbor once again. I bet these MN people thought they had it for sure this year, lol.

Too bad Lake Linden lost. I heard it was very sloppy game due to weather conditions. They have nothing to be ashamed of though, losing 6-0 in conditions like that. What a team they have.

If any of you have the chance to see the Rockettes in the Radio City Music Christmas Spectacular, be sure to do so. It is really very good and can those girls dance. I really enjoyed it and it kind of put me in the Christmas spirit already.
