Hei Dave, wow you got the nite owl. Can't sleep, and Jimmie the fat white cat is enjoying my company. Can't watch tv, Precious has to sleep and be ready for work tomorrow. My dad used to take us up to the fort when I was a kid. I always thought the lake was called "Lake Fannie Hole." Was corrected by one of the nuns when I told her that we went there on a picnic. My dad had a 1940 Desoto, and he would pack the car with us kids and grandma Du Long and off we would go. We must have gone there a lot since it is vivid in my memory. I have always been into history, maybe that is why. This past weekend I spent it in the seventeen hundreds. Had a great reenactment in St. Clair Michigan. It was their 150 anniversary. We fired our cannons and had this great battle where the French won. Unfortunatly on Sunday the English won. We have to alternate who wins the battles or the English guys wont come out and play. LOL I bet now some of you out there wish I could sleep. My two Ozanich grandsons had a lot of fun on Saturday. Andrea the Irish dancer was the belle of the ball. Her dad is going to have a problem keeping the boys away from her. I sure am lucky having kids and grandkids who like to hang out with me. Well Jimmie wants to be petted some more so I am off. Charlie hope you can get back to the UP fast. Your car must not like it down here.

TO MICHAEL DuLONG (MIKIE)

You must be a pretty cool guy that your kids and grandkids like to hang out with you ;o) As for me, I do not have any kids. :O( it was never the right time for me.

Hi Mikie! My husband spent the weekend looking in on my dad
and his folks in Lower MIchigan while I stayed behind in Toronto
writing big reports for the Toronto District School Board. As is
frequently our custom, he drove along the St. Clair River to travel to
their houses rather than taking I 94. He had mentioned to me that
he had seen tents and re-enactors in St, Clair and I told him you
were probably among their number. Like you, both of us love
history.
