Another classic from the Pasty Cam Archives. This was the first Joe Kirkish photo to appear as the shot-of-the-day, eight years ago on this date.

By BJmilford (Bjmilford) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 01:06 pm:

Well...maybe. Howa about that

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 01:06 pm:

Good Afternoon, Everyone! It's a lovely, cool autumn day here in mid-Michigan. Have a good day!

By Koke (Pjk3000) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 01:11 pm:

How about an "early bird" for BJmilford? It is the first post!!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 01:16 pm:

The first hybrid (wood fuel) vehicle.

By BJmilford (Bjmilford) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 01:23 pm:

Hi Pat....your brother sorta gave me the "heads up" so thought I'd check in. Thanks Chuck.
Time to go out and wash windows. May be the one of the last good days to get outside work done.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 01:24 pm:

Now, that vehicle's been there a looooong time!

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 02:01 pm:

That's one of them new-fangled cars with the trunk in the front.

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 02:27 pm:

A pasty shot that makes you say "what the H***?"
I like it, don't see that every day!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 04:15 pm:

That picture of that old car is hanging in a auto repair shop way down here in Cedar Rapids, IA.

By k j (Kathiscc) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 04:16 pm:

In our county, they consider it to be a junk car if there are weeds growing up through the engine. Wonder what they'd say if they saw this!

By Chuck K (Chuckclarkston) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 05:01 pm:

k j...I think they call that a "Classic Junk Car."

And your welcome BJmilford. I scare myself sometimes. Knowing things before they happen.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 08:14 pm:

I'll second Brooke's comments on reaction to the cool picture from 8 years ago today. I did a double-take the first couple of times that I saw the tree growing out of its car pot. :-) That is amazing!

By Therese (Therese) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 08:33 pm:

I've heard of determining the age of trees by counting the rings, but not by checking the car vintage.

By Russell E. Emmons (Russemmons) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 - 09:51 pm:

1950 Chevrolet (possibly 1949, very little differences in those 2 years) Good cars!

Actually if that car had to be removed from there, it would be better to cut the grill out and slide the car out. The tree now is surely worth more then the car!
