Good Morning everybody, It's time to start another beautiful day. Looks like a little snow and seasonal stuff.

I love that picture of the covered road. We don't have any of those here except in town (planted by someone else). How's the snow going up there?

Good morning!
Margaret in Tx: The snow is coming! Painesdale has 6" on the ground and more coming this AM as I left for work. The guys in the house are getting their snowmachines ready to roll. They love winter.

I had to post this sad story somewhere, somewhere where it may be appreciated..... I order my fire wood as round wood. I enjoy splitting it by hand, and I like my wood a certain size. I woke up this morning to find my 8 cords of wood, that as of last night was stacked and beautiful... now leveled and on the ground, not so beautiful. Seems I stacked it a little too close to the neighbors fence. Thier dogs jumped on the fence, which in turn pushed my wood pile over, which caused a chain reaction leveling the entire thing. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow... thank you for understanding the pain I now feel.

DOES ANYONE KNOWN WHEN THE PASTY DAY IS IN CALUMET NEXT YEAR?

By Ms. Katie on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 10:37 am:

I, too, need to know the date for Pasty Day. Planning my vacation around that date.

Has anyone else noticed that the bridge cam clock is way off? I think it forgot to "Fall Back" in October.

I also would like to know when pasty fest is going to be thanx.

By Candy, CA on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 02:43 pm:

Hey, Chris, I feel your pain. I've (sort of) been in the same position -- bent over, stacking wood!

By un - Paul Bunyon on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 03:32 pm:

Chris,

Try changing directions of the levels more frequently. I stack four foot square pallets to about six feet high that won't rock, let alone push over. I move these around on unlevel grounds with a fork truck without losses.

How bigs were these dogs again?

Hey Marty & Ben, since we didnt shoot a deer, what ya say we try our hand at snowmobiling one weekend in Jan. or Feb? I'd pay good money to see Marty on a sled! lol

By Sandman, Calumet on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 04:20 pm:

Hello Candy, CA....remember all the good times at CPH? and your son riding to Tech with my son?

By Norma in Midland on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 04:22 pm:

Hey Uncle Chuck, I would pay good money to see YOU on a sled. LOL

By nephew ben - lil' betsy on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 06:13 pm:

uncle chuck, you know i would definitely pay good money to see either one of you or marty on a sled doing 95 mph up brockway! as long as i could video tape the next day to show everybody in the family how much self-induced pain you would be in. im in for trying though. what about nate?

By joesyopper on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 06:28 pm:

Chris:
I was thinking about telling you the same thing Paul Bunyon did. You can't knock over my stack of wood unless you use a Jeep. And then it would cause $2,000 damage to the front end.

By Beeler on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 07:51 pm:

nephew ben, 95 mph up brockway mtn? Dream on.

By Polarisman on Friday, December 10, 2004 - 10:52 pm:

Beeler, start in Eagle Harbor and let er rip! Right up that long incline, to the top hill at brockway.

By Chris, MI on Saturday, December 11, 2004 - 09:56 pm:

Thank you everyone for your suggestions - I stacked one deep (mistake) since moved to pallets 3 deep. Nothing will take this one down! I KNEW I WAS POSTING IN THE RIGHT PLACE :!
