Hey! we might get some sun today and then it's back to the old snow/rain ball and chain. I think we've been hoarding it so the UP stays dry.

How about it, any Joe Berg Science Seminar members out there?

By Lena, MN on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 08:32 am:

Any predictions for Thanksgiving week-end? Is it too early? Any weathermen guessing results in a 50/50 correct answer, anyways.

RE:Joe Berg Science Seminars
They were introduced at Gladstone High about the middle of my Senior year with a whole lot of publicity. I remember interesting lectures on some advanced topics. Seems to me I graduated before fulfilling the work requirements. I hadn't thought about that program until your request. Don't know what happened to the program.

morning,

Saw on the news last night that they are going to pave a 5 foot shoulder on M35 between mqt and escanaba for bikers.

This sounds fantastic. one of the most enjoyable things we like to do is camp in the city park in MQT and hit all the bike trails right from there all thru the city and out to Presque Isle and down the shore to Harvey.

Being able to go from there to Escanaba would be fun and safer now.

Back in the early eighties, 4 of us rode from Houghton to DeTour village (where my wife is from) in 5 days, camping along the highway as we went.

Great way to see the UP.

Do... your return email didn't go through. Where did you meet? We were at Tech.

Hey Vicki Rae, maybe if we ask really nicely, Dave from Laurium would be able to post some pics of how the rebuilding of the White House in Mohawk is coming along.

Dave from Laurium,
Pretty please, could we have some of the pictures of the rebuilding of the White House in Mohawk?

Lena, MN: I definitely predict you will have weather on Thanksgiving. :)

By Bthecute1, San Jose on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 03:35 pm:

Lena, by the way, I'm a weatherwoman. :)

By sandstone princess on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 04:16 pm:

Lena, do you have a web site like John Dee has?
It is a Jacobsville day today. One of dah sistahs once asked me what that was. Well, I suppose it means something different to those who did live there and those that are current residents. To me, it is the foggy, rainy day. The trees blend like a watercolor with the grey bank. One can hear the fog horn.

By Lena, MN on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 04:26 pm:

Bthecute1 weatherwoman, fun name. You have the best job. You can't be fired for being wrong. You blame it on Mother Nature being fickle. No, Sandstone princess, I don't have a website, but I will bring my homemade lefse up to the Keweenaw for Thanksgiving:)

By Bthecute1, San Jose on Friday, November 19, 2004 - 08:21 pm:

Ah, come on Lena. I was right when I predicted rain for 4th of July, and I am half a country away. :)

By Lars from Akershus on Saturday, November 20, 2004 - 12:53 am:

Bring some of those hollow chocolates, if you know what I
mean!
