By
Mary Drew at Pasty Central on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 05:58 am:

Today we're going to double your viewing pleasure with this shot of the color in the trees AND also in the water! In case you haven't checked lately, the Pasty Cam Guest Gallery has been growing by leaps and bounds, nearing 15,000 photographs uploaded by over 200 picture takers! Another new addition to the family is Kayley Elrick, who might just be our youngest Camist at 12 years old. Kayley snapped this photo near Rapid River. I'm not certain which river it is, so maybe she can chime in here with that info. Of course we might have to wait until she gets home from school! :->

Morning from Houston!!

By Mr. Wheatman, South end on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 10:32 am:

Thou comest, Autumn, heralded by the rain,
With banners, by great gales incessant fanned,
Brighter than brightest silks of Samarcand,
And stately oxen harnessed to thy wain!
Thou standest, like imperial Charlemagne,
Upon thy bridge of gold; thy royal hand
Outstretched with benedictions o'er the land,
Blessing the farms through all thy vast domain!
Thy shield is the red harvest moon, suspended
So long beneath the heaven's o'er-hanging eaves;
Thy steps are by the farmer's prayers attended;
Like flames upon an altar shine the sheaves;
And, following thee, in thy ovation splendid,
Thine almoner, the wind, scatters the golden leaves!

Great pic Kayley, looking forward for more.

By maijaMI on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 05:13 pm:

The sun is shining in my heart from all the kindness that has been sent our way. My son went back to work at St. Joe Hospt. environmental services (housekeeping) yesterday after we returned from saying goodbye to his grandpa in Calumet. He came home with a card from coworkers. 27 people signed the card and there were 27 one dollar bills included. This is from people who earn around 10 per hour. There are good and kind people everywhere.

Beautiful Autumn pics. As far as the fly attacking Houghton, if it had a white head, it would probably be saying, "Help me. Help me." Trust me. Just ask Vincent Price.
