Eight years ago, the Pasty Cam went golfing and the deer outnumbered the golfers.

After a weekend of temperatures in the 70s, we're back to October with a high today of 50. The weekend also brought a successful pre-opening of The Hut Inn, with many, many folks enjoying the old warmth and new menu. Today, The Hut opens at 11 am and starts keeping regular hours, seven days a week, 11 am - 9 pm.

The Pasty Central pasty kitchen will also start shipping this week, after starting up the baking operation late last week. You can order your Pasty Central pasties on-line now.

And finally, a plug for Pasty.NET DSL service. More and more areas of the Upper Peninsula have DSL available -- now including Chassell, additional areas in Hancock, Michigamme and others. If you are in the 906 area code, and especially if you still have dial-up, give us a call to see if DSL is available at your home.

do you realize you guys way up there are more wired than a lot of places.
There was cable modem in Houghton before Madison Wisconsin...that really blew my mind when I found that out.

to add...they don;t even have DSL where I live...time to get off that dialup...you guys that switch won;t believe how fast it is. Makes the web totally more enjoyable, even here...the images load up really fast.

Not knowing pastys myself, as far as I recall the various postings here, that's a new one: pasty with applesauce. Sounds good to me, though.

I don't think I would like my pasty with applesauce. I would like it with mustard and a nice cold glass of milk though. :)

I don't like ketchup on mine either, though...maybe catsup would be better :)

Pasty and homemade chow-chow is great too. Of
course there is always the catsup or pasty sauce.

My auntie Toini used to eat mustard on her pasties. I guess I made a face about that so she told me "Don't knock it if you haven't tried it!" :o) I still haven't tried it. I like my pasties with Cheeze Whiz. The only thing I ever use catsup on, is a pasty. And then sparingly. Mimi likes Toivo and Eino's Super Secret Pasty Sauce. We'll be making some again in the not too distant future. Mmm mmm, Good!
