In case you didn’t know, Michelle Lutke and Brett Biggers tied the knot, so she is now, Michelle Lutke Biggers! The newlyweds recently went to one of their absolute favorite little waterfalls near them, Little Trap Falls. It’s located between Bergland and White Pine in Ontonagon County and on their way to the Porcupine Mountains, so Michelle said they go there a lot, because nobody else seems to and it’s so peaceful down in the gorge just sitting and listening to the waterfall. It can be pretty dry in the summer and fall, unless there has been a recent rainfall, so they time their visits after it has rained and then this is usually the result. Just a heads-up, the hike is short, but you do have to climb down to the gorge. In the first two photos you can see a rope that has been put there to help your descent and the climb back up. So if you’re able to do so, it’s well worth the effort to check out Little Trap Falls.

Michelle said she recorded this little stream in the Porkies, while her hubby Brett was flying his drone. She commented how she loves when the leaves start to line the paths and rivers this time of year. It makes everything so colorful and beautiful!

Congratulations to Michelle and Brett!
Love how you two share your excellent
UP adventures with us. Today’s installment
features a Porkies waterfall I’ve heard of,
but this is the closest I will ever get lol!
That ravine is way beyond my abilities, but
it sure is beautiful (#4 is my favorite photo).
Enjoyed the lovely video too, so tranquil.

CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. and Mrs. Bigger!

Wonderful adventure, as always!

Hi
It looks like fun for those young enough to have all
their body parts in working order. Cindy, I'm in the
same boat.

I like the last two photos best.

I have heard about the Trap Hills and how rugged it is. I would still
like to give it a go one day. The North Country Trail runs through
there. Thanks to Michelle and her husband for the photos,

Hi
Speaking of rugged terrain, today's episode of
"Stateside" on my local public radio station talked
about the various lava flows in the Keweenaw, the
Greenstone Flow in particular. They talked about how
people don't associate lava flows with Michigan.

"Stateside" presents stories about Michigan and is
usually interesting.

Very cool and a big congratulations. I don't
believe my knees could handle the climb anymore so
it's nice we have Michelle and Brett to take us
along on their journeys. Love the sound of the
waterfalls.
