We welcome new photographers to our Pasty Cam family here today... Michelle Lutke & Brett Biggers. Together the are “Wandering Michigan” and have a webpage by that same name (click the following link to check it out): Wandering Michigan. Their photography business is located in Ewen, but they’re wandering all over the U.P. to capture the beauty. Today they take us to Hunter’s Point in Copper Harbor for some frozen shoreline views. My favorite is the photo underneath the ice shelf with the frozen rocks and icicles. And of course the frozen rocks in the shape of the U.P. is a close second for me. I’m looking forward to seeing more of their unique photography in the near future!

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve and Visit Keweenaw shares a video reel if you’re looking for something to do to welcome in 2026. The lead-in says: “New year, new destination. The Houghton NYE Chook Drop mixes small-town charm with big-night energy - a perfect Keweenaw getaway that sets the tone for 2026! Two drops, bonfires, music, family fun, late-night energy—see all the details here:” NYE Chook Drop

These are so cool and so different. My favorite is
the one shaped like the UP. I've seen Michelle's
photos on FB and they're always so good. Welcome
Michelle and Brett.

I especially like the under the shelf shot.

I LOVE that shelf shot too...that's amazing.

I'll be spending NYE with Anderson and Andy...do
they crack me up...

Hi
The under the shelf shot is interesting, but I like
the two shoreline photos best. And, sorry, but the
clump of frozen rocks doesn't particularly look like
the U.P. to me.

The New Year's Eve celebration looks fun. But even
if my city had something similar, I would rather
stay off the roads. I'll be at home with treats and
champagne watching videos.

Mother Nature can be a fabulous artist, but then it requires another artist like Michelle or Brett to capture it so beautifully. Well done!

That 4th picture looks like a boot hanging there.I
see the outline of the U.P.
Everyone have a great Happy New Year
