On a cold and blustery day last week, 906 Images headed to the shores of Lake Superior in the Marquette area, to capture the icy sculptures that Lady Superior created when the north wind gales were splashing the waves up into the trees along the shoreline, creating an icy wonderland, so beautiful to behold. I feel like the word “amazing” is somewhat overused, but honestly, I can’t think of a better word to describe today’s captures, other than AMAZING! Maybe stunning, fits in here, too. And thank goodness he captured it when he did, because we’ve had a few warm days with some rain, since these were snapped, so the beauty may have been fleeting and already gone for now, until another gale wind whips UP the waves and coats the trees once more.

906 Images recorded this beautiful sunrise at Presque Isle a couple weeks ago, when the temperature was a chilly 12°...brrrr. Sure is a beauty and contrasts the wild waves with the peaceful calm of a quiet morning on Lake Superior.
