The Pewabic Street Kids have become a recurring theme from today’s Pasty Camist, Barbara Bouwkamp. Check back on these two links from May 15, 2019 and May 27, 2020, to see them a bit younger than today’s photos. Barbara said it was only 5° out the day she snapped the kids enjoying being outside, sliding down hills, hauling snow with their loader and climbing the tall snow banks to be ‘king of the mountain’. Remember playing that as a kid? It’s so great to see kids outdoors using their imaginations. And how about that dinosaur jacket? That’s pretty cool and I bet the envy of all the dino loving kids in the neighborhood.

Today’s video, shared by Mike Liagre is one of my favorites, so I figured it was worth a repeat here today after all the snow we’ve been pounded with lately. Just how deep is the snow?

It is great to see kids out plying like that. We did
it as kids, too. We had an empty field next to our
house and that is where we played. I love the snow
walls we use to build to hide behind during snowball
fights, I did not like that part, snowball fights.

How cool....remember those days???

Oh to be a kid again. I love watching kids
at play...outside!!! This inside stuff just
doesn't cut it with me. It's sad that
they'll have no idea what it's like to play
outside all the time. And they even play
indoor games during the summer.

I love that video! My husband did that a
few weeks ago. He did not expect to sink so
far. It was the best laugh I had in a long
time, lol.

I hope the boy was pulled out of the snow after the video was made.
