There are so many places we have visited with our Shoebox Memories over the past 20 years... At the time, there may not have been even a single video online for some of them. But now it is easy to find numerous items, from documentaries to home movies. Today's Soo Line video happens to be a promotional excerpt from a railroader's DVD.

On a typical day at YouTube, I have heard that there are 35 years worth of video uploaded. That means, in 24 hours users and organizations have contributed content that would take you 35 years to watch! So many of those 1-3 minute clips explore subjects related to the U.P., that we have featured here on the Pasty Cam. So we are discovering our 20th year expanded format has a wealth of interesting excerpts to include.

You'll notice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, we hope to include new photos from regular Pasty Cam contributors. And if you have some video to broaden the experience, we would appreciate any tips you might pass our way to visitors@pasty.com.

Have a good week :o)

The silliest thing that was ever done was to get rid of so many rail lines. They certainly saved wear and tear on the highways and it is a much cheaper mode of transporting goods.
I used to like to ride the train back in the day when there was passenger service in the UP.

Nice video and that acoustic was really jam'n at the end.

Always find anything to do with trains interesting and the video is certainly from a time which brings back fond memories!

That was a great video. I love trains, and I remember them in the UP/Copper Country. They used to pass through Toivola, and we watched them slowly go by. What memories those are. Thank you.

I just love trains (except when they make me late
for work). Thanks!
