Charlie,

A little foggy morning kayaking about 2 miles or so east of Eagle Harbor.

Hope all is well.

Well, it appears we are ending the week in about the same place we began here on the Pasty Cam. This must be very near Grand Marais Harbor, subject of the postcard debate on last Sunday's shoebox memory. And I notice over on the Bridge Cam, it's foggy down in Houghton-Hancock, too.

Bridge Cam
Thanks to all who made this another fun week here at Pasty Central. How can I possibly choose just one WOW from so many great shots the past few days?

I realize I didn't include the area my cockatiel was last seen. She took off from Boundary St. Calumet and was seen flying over Laurium. I had posted my original plea for help in finding her in yesterdays Pasty Cam notes. My phone number by the way is 337-0365 if you caught her or sighted her. Ken

Ok-- i'm new at Pasty.com, and at message posting here and everything (but my mom (lucy) is ALWAYS on here!) i was wondering if someone could help me, i looked but i didn't find anything: is there a place that's kind of like a suggestions box or something? an email address to the makers of pasty.com? i have to admit, i LOVE the UP and really miss it alot, especially seeing all these gorgeous pictures all the time on my mom's desktop! i would love to be able to send some of them as an ecard to different people... but i dunno if that already exists somewhere, or where to suggest it if it doesn't! anyways, any suggestions (there's that word again) or whatever would be appreciated

By Patt, Mid-Michigan on Saturday, September 7, 2002 - 12:07 pm:

Anna, There is all ready the capability to send these photo's as an e-mail attachment. Just hover over the photo with your mouse and a small tool bar will appear in the upper left corner. From those 4 icons you can either save the photo to a diskette, print a copy of it, send it as an e-mail attachment or save it on your own computer as a file for later use. That is how many make it as their own wallpaper. Anyways, Good luck.

And have to say, just when I think there can be no more BREATHTAKING & beautiful photo's left to be seen, Charlie seems to post another. Man oh man Charlie, you do a fantastic job! THANK YOU

This scene is one of the best yet!! This site is the Greatest! Do you guys realize that it is as hot in the C.C as it is down here in Ga?I wonder what has caused the extreme heat up there this summer.Any Ideas. We were there in July and it was so hot! I hate the heat, never will get used to it even after being here so long.

By Melissa, Grand Ledge, MI on Saturday, September 7, 2002 - 08:39 pm:

I'm with those of you who think its too hot! It was around 90 today here and will be for the next couple of days, then hopefully back to some temperatures more representative of fall! And then come the colors....I'm looking forward to seeing some great pics of the Keweenaw in the fall posted here!

By ashley, mi on Saturday, September 7, 2002 - 09:04 pm:

By Catherine, Holland, MI on Saturday, September 7, 2002 - 11:07 pm:

We had to make a quick trip to St Louis and it is 100. Yuck. At least everywhere here has AC as they are used to it.

By Ken from da UP on Saturday, September 7, 2002 - 11:21 pm:

Hei, Charlie, OK, Toivo, Cousin Jack, et al, too. I think you are right about the kayak pic being very near the Grand Marais Harbor. Is Agate Beach private property now? Didn't there used to be a sign just a little outa Eagle Harbor?
If you see a little red glow, it's my face 'cause I didn't even know there WAS another Grand Marais harbor up there. :o) Has anyone seen the Northern Lights out tonight? Not so brilliant here in Cornell but nice just the same.

By Frank C, NE Illinois, coming U.P. in 12 days on Monday, September 9, 2002 - 11:43 am:

Anna (Hermanson), depending on what version your web browser program is, you may or may not see the little box with 4 icons on it (you will with IE version 6). With older browsers, just right-click and that will bring up a list of options: 1) you can Copy it and then start a new email and Edit/Paste it into the email; or 2) Save it to your hard drive and you can include it in a new HTML email or as an attachment to a text-only email. Both work fine.

Have fun!
