Jon Jaconson of PictureMichigan fame eyeballed this masterpiece of automotive art whilest passing through L'Anse. It's at a little gas station off the main road.

With all the talk of Yoopers this week, I didn't want to leave out the folks of Scandahoovian descent, thus the reference to Olie and Lena. Reminds me of when Olie and Lena were babysitting.

Lena says, "Olie, you better change that diaper".

"Not yet", Olie says, "It's printed on the label here 'Up to 25 pounds'."

It's always cool to see plates from different times. Good eye!

Not Ole and Lena...
Ole and Lena went to the Olympics. While sitting on a bench a lady turned to Ole and said, "Are you a pole vaulter?" Ole said, "No, I'm Norvegian...and my name isn't Valter." heehee

Since the topic is plates, what do the Chinsese people call their good plates?

By A humble Mike on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 - 10:12 pm:

Oops.. Chinese.

CD. Good answer. I wish I had thought of that.

Wouldn't that be 'America,' since we call ours 'China'?
