A few feathery photos to finalized another week at the Pasty Cam. The top one comes from Rob Wetton, or actually it was Rob's camera, a shot taken by his Dad, R.C. of Dollar Bay. That's sister Sherry, who was up with her husband Rod from their home in Mississippi. Here's a Pasty Cam trivia question: when did R.C., Rob, and Sherry appear together in a Cam shot?

The middle photo is by Donn de Yampert. Donn has sent us many beautiful U.P. wildlife photos recently, all with rich closeup detail. More to come in days ahead.

Finally, Deb (Makolin) Schmidt, visiting from downstate, stopped by the pond at Swedetown and caught a familiar site. Our family often picks up sandwiches at the IGA and stops here for an impromptu picnic. Deb's picture captures the feel of this peaceful spot.

Pasty Cam trivia answer: May 19, 2002 -- Paul Bunyan's Rocking Chair 1950's!! Here's the link: http://www.pasty.com/discuss/messages/994/1253.html

I wish that chair was still there....maybe that's a project a local civic organization could take on. Or perhaps a local Boy Scout working on an Eagle Scout project!!! Recreate it! :)

Regarding Paul Bunyan's rocking chair. There is a close rendition to it at The Pines in Copper Harbor. It's Not a rocker, but the size is right. If you are in the area you should check it out.

I remember the day that Dad took that picture - we were doing repairs to the dock with all of the family pitching in! It was a beautiful day, but I see that I still had my sweatshirt on! The warm weather in the U.P. still is nothing compared to the sweltering heat and humidity of the south. How I envy you all!

If I remember correctly, auntie, the water was warmer than the air. Hope you two had a great time in Canada.
