Hi Charlie,

Matt and Bob are right, spring is starting to show us a little green with this view of Torch Lake from somewhere near the top of the Hungarian Falls.

I want to say a big "thank you!" to everyone for the compliments on all the other shots I get to share with you on Pasty. Life is good and it is wonderful to be able to share some of what I get to see!

More to come...Kelly

By Becky, Lansing on Monday, April 29, 2002 - 08:37 am:

Could someone post a picture of the Hungarian Falls? Thanks.

Ahhhh I remember climbing the trek to the top of the Hungarian Falls with friends a few years back....what memories this pic brings back of some good times back home.
Wonderful pic Kelly: )

Hungarian Falls is above Tamarack City and Hubbell. It is off the road out of Tamarack City to the golf course.

If you look way off in the distance you can see my grandparents farm in the clearing in Bootjack. The Aittama farm! Too bad the family had to sell some years ago. We have many special memories of that place and this view. Thanks!!!

In the background, you can see a farm across Torch Lake. It is the old Fritz H. Aittama farm in Bootjack.

There's also a pretty good picture on my website, at http://www.aviewfromthefield.com/hungar.html. This was taken in September,1981, because you'd have to be a lot more agile than I am to get down there now.

By KarenP, MN on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 - 10:50 am:

To SharonS, thanks for the picture and directions.
Some of the hidden falls are the prettiest.
