The answer is... Marquette. A pleasant little park on the hillside along Business US-41. We used to walk there from our home on Park Street when we lived there in 1975-76. Right across the street from this spot is the building which had the "Bunny Bread" bunny with the neon ears that wiggled, which you could see from the US-41 bypass.

Does anyone have a picture of the Bunny taken from the bypass? The first person to email me a good image of that old landmark will receive a gift certificate for a couple of pasties!

Whoops! Our server was down most of the day Tuesday, and when it came back on-line, somehow the 15th rolled around again. Thanks for catching the error... it is fixed now :o)

When the kids were young, my wife and I brought them to the Copper Country every couple summers on a camping trip. Our usual routine, as we passed thru Marquette was to stop at this park for a lunch of pasties purchased at a store also across the street and just to the east. Great memories!

The pictures this week are fabulous! The Copper Country is glorious! Thanks for the display of natures masterpieces.
Please, on the Harlow Park photo caption, correct spelling on "municiple" to its correct spelling: municipal. Misspellings are contagious.
And, please, consider the children and be a good example by not ending a sentence in a preposition, such as you did in "where it's at".

Thanks for the shot of Marquette - I attended NMU in the early '90s and miss the area a lot. I did make it up for the fall colors last weekend, however, and it was truly beautiful (if the Pasty Cam happens to make it out to Presque Isle, it will have photo opportunities galore!).

On the subject of grammatical items, let us also never forget our possessives: "nature's" masterpieces are indeed grand.

I love the Pasty Cam - keep up the great work!!!

Your site is a treasure, but please, more pix of Marquette! I grew up there as a boy. My dad used to take us three kids to Harlow Park for sledding in the winter - we're talking 1960!! -- and there was a LOT of snow back then. I left in 1978, but I look back almost every day, if only in my mind.

Now let me see if I remember. I think it was before the great war I took my girlfriend to that exact spot where your photograph was taken. By jeeves was that a night to remember.
