Probably the first place people hear about, before they ever come to the U.P., is Copper Harbor. It's that extreme point of reference which everyone uses, the "end of the road" in a 2000 mile trip from Miami to Lake Superior. One of the loveliest stretches along that corridor is the covered drive when you pass Delaware Mine, on to Mandan and past Lake Medora, coming out at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge... then down the hill to the Harbor.

One of the residents there is a new friend to the Pasty Cam, Alex Protzel. Last month Alex brought us those breathtaking sunrise shots out toward Manitou Island, standing at the very tip of this beautiful Peninsula where US-41 ends... and begins.

I never miss a night to pull up Pastycom, so afraid I will miss some of the spectacular beauty of Alex P.'s photograpy...and I thank Pastycom for sponsoring it all. Another winter to wait till spring to make our trek back up to the UP (5 mile point rd.) Keeping in touch this way makes the wait a tad easier! Thanks again and keep the pictures coming. (We do enjoy the pasties too!) All summer.
