Since the Pasty Cam began after winter carnival 97'-98', we have received many requests for various glimpses of life in the northwoods... and many of those requests have been filled by guest photos from other Camwatchers. Recently we had a suggestion for a photo of a fireplace, perhaps the Keweenaw mountain lodge... but within the next day we received this fascinating scene from Doug Smith. One of these days I'm sure we'll warm ourselves up at the Lodge, but for now this panorama of Christmas afterglow is just right for the occasion.

By the way, our final pasty shipments for 2001 left Calumet today. Almost 1,000 pasties bound for destinations in 36 states - all in a single day. Last week we reached another milestone: one ton of pasties shipped in a single week. As you can well imagine, our Pasty Central elves are all ready for a long winter's nap.

Did Santa Claus visit your lovely living room on Christmas Eve, Doug Smith? Did he give any Pasty Central pasties as gifts?

This picture is so inviting.... wish I could plant myself right on that couch in front of the fire place... "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..."
