This morning much of the upper midwest is under a blanket of heavy rain. I'm sure the falls are running even faster than this recent shot by Rose Riemer.

You remember Rose... Her family has frequently graced the Pasty Cam, and it occurs to me that most of the time it has something to do with water.

Hmmm...

Water and friends
Water and rocks

I vote for this shot to be a "Wow". Looks like Rose and the girls are having a great time. Charlie is right. It has been raining all day. At times it is quite heavy. It was hard getting out of bed. I love to listen to the rain. Very peaceful. Just like a waterfall.

Where are Bond Falls? I have camped many nights out at the mouth of the Montreal River at the tip of the Keewenaw, but I have never heard of Bond Falls?

Bond Falls - Sec. 1 T.46N.-R.39W. The Falls are on the Middle Branch of the Ontonagon River, east of Paulding and US-45.

As kids we used to hang around the Douglas Houghton falls and the Hungarian Creek falls, (all three of them.) We liked to go into that tunnel at the base of the H. Douglas falls. It was scary climbing up the other side. Has anyone ever sent in a pic of them? Specially in the spring!

As a kid I used to hike all around the Douglas Houghton Falls area. I loved the cave underneath it,the railroad trestle down river, and walking over the "camel's hump". Would love to see photos of the area.

Access to H. Douglas Falls crosses private property and the owner decided not to allow folks to visit the falls. Read this in the Gazette, owner had quite a problem with these visitors. Any pictures would have to be really old ones.

It saddens me to hear that Houghton Douglas Falls are no longer accessable. I also played there as a child and swam in the Trap Rock River below. Just the name of the river added adventure.
