This month has seen the departure of several friends, including a couple of former Still Waters residents.

Esther Wenberg's passing was on Resurrection Sunday, Easter. She will be missed by son's Robert, Marlin, Glenn and Gary, who is a member of the board of directors at Still Waters.

Elizabeth Wertheim was a long-time resident of Still Waters. She even appeared a couple of times on the Pasty Cam, including a memorable scene in November 1999.

Bernadine Green was a friend and neighbor to our family in Eagle River. My wife will always cherish the memories of the Eagle River ladies "Out to Lunch Bunch" and the fun times with Bernadine as part of the group.

Jackie Peterson, besides being a wonderful person, was also a faithful chronicler of life in the Copper Country, a frequent contributor to the Daily Mining Gazette.

Each time we reach the end of another month here at Pasty Central, we welcome you to share memories of special people in your life on these pages.

My mom also passed away in April. Though it was 2 years ago, it still seems so fresh. I am glad that she is with the Lord because she no longer has to feel the pain of the disease that took her. However my heart will always ache in that I will always miss having her here with me.

My Grandma also my best friend all in one passed away suddenly in April, 5 years ago. She was a wonderful woman, and my husband and I are always reminded of her when we look into our sons eyes and when we see a beautiful sunset.

This is one of those shots where you just sit back in your chair and say "wow" - no other words needed. Thanks for the cool shot.

My dad would have loved this site! He passed
away two years ago this month. He was a
nature photographer as well as an upolsterer
for a furniture company in Grand Rapids. One
of his favorite places was the U.P., I have
many fond memories of traveling with my
family there as a child. He took 100's of phots
and we still have them to look back on now
that he's with his heavenly father. He is greatly
missed and lovingly remembered. The picture
today reminds me of something he might
have taken....he loved the U.P.

I am a sucker for the sunrise/set shots. I use them often as wallpaper for my computers, at home and at work. Occasionally I do use other Pasty.com pictures.

I was torn as there are good shots other than sky shots. Ever consider selling a screen saver of your calendar shots? Possibly an all U.P. floral screen saver, or all sunsets, or all waterfall, or all people, or all holiday, or all animal, or all weather, or all Superior, or all boat, or all mining, or all sport, or all ...
