I couldn't resist. Just one final shot as Heikki Lunta slips away. These ducks don't know whether to walk or swim.

Actually this was taken during the past week, and this morning if you could look at Seneca Lake, there is no ice. None on Lake Superior, either. A warm rain is falling this morning, and the patches of snow I see outside my window - down on the dunes and scattered through the woods - will no doubt be washed away this very day.

Farewell to winter.

P.S. - Thunder and lightning just set in, and we are enjoying some fireworks over the big Lake.

Alas, old friend, thy season ends. And even as the warm rains of spring leak through my roof; I morn thee not.

Farewell to winter, but Charlie, most of those things aren't ducks! Great shot, though.

Beautiful camera work. What happened to the shot of the cat and the deer kill????????? I was told of it being on the pasty cam by a friend, but have been unable to locate it.
P.S. Keep up the great work.

<Charlie>: There has been a new shot on the Pasty Cam each day for over 3 years. The bobcat appeared on April 13

Sharon, glad I am not the only one to notice. I thought they looked a little big to be ducks. Looks more like a flock of Canadian geese for sure. :-)
Great shot in either case! Any more shots of the recent storm too?
Best wishes,
Renee in IL

Seneca Lake is near the south end of Cliff Drive, not far from the junction with US-41
