On Monday's Cam this week, Ken from da U.P. requested a current shot of Warner Falls at Palmer. Your wish is Donn's command. I bet there is not this much snow there at this moment, though, as they show a bit of a warming trend while the week traveled along.

Speaking of traveling, I just had to stay another day in Texas and see the sights. I generally prefer the woods to the cities, but I must say Dallas was remarkable. I wouldn't want to face this much traffic every day, but it's a nice place to visit.

Thought I would check up on Charlie's progress after yesterday's surgery at Portage Hospital. (guess they call the new one 'Portage Health System'). Although Charlie was a little groggy from the antistetic, I did talk wit his lovely wife Edie. She said he was OK, and it only hurts when he laughs. Says he has a better understanding why doctors stick their hands in your shorts and makes you cough. haha - ouch! - haha - ouwie! We feel your pain Chuck.
G'night again from Texas and good morning from da U.P. trip notes tx

Toivo - Glad to see the early posting before I retire for the night. Thanks for the update on Charlie. Temps were in the low 70's here yesterday. I heard someone sighted 73 de. at the bridge. What was the temp in Dallas?

Donn, Did a nice job photographing Warner Falls and got the sign in it. I've never been there. Another must this summer on our Sunday cruise.

Wah!! (I haven't said that in years)! If those are the falls that I think they are, I thought I would never see them again. My grandmother Helmi Saari used to live right across the road and we could see them from the upstairs bedrooms whenever we stayed there. It was one of my favorite childhood memories. Mom and Aunt Virginia never let us little ones go near the falls so we could only open the window and listen to them. Jerry, Toni, Chip, are you seeing this? Are these the falls at Grandma's?

Toivo...I sent you an email to tell you about the pasty shop in Arlington if you are still in the Dallas area. The info is also on Wednesday's cam notes.

Passed warner falls for about 8 yrs every workday when I worked as attendent at the gribbin clarifiers north of M-35 at the end of the tailings pipeline located about a mile or so past the falls--one day a large bear jumped the med fence were that pic was taken--also seen a mountain lion (Cougar) along the road into the clarifier---it was also spotted by a resident of palmer--reported in the mining journal

With all the snowmelt, I imagine Lower Hungarian Falls look pretty impressive. I would love to see a picture of them in the spring. Donn or Taka? (I only get to see the trickle in the fall.)

Hello Joy, I thought the falls by grandmas were bigger or maybe I was smaller. Email me Joy, Toni,

Nice falls, anyone got some pics of bond falls from the winter months? Bond falls is really great in the summer, but in the winter it takes on a whole new look and alot of times only the snowmachine folks get in to see them...the falls across the UP in the winter sure are nice. How about some Bond falls shots.
