The Lake Superior Performance Rally took place last weekend and Philip Odum was there to capture a few of the race teams flying by, spraying mud and even posing with the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. The race took the two man teams through Houghton and Baraga Counties on slick, muddy roads. Less than ideal conditions with rain and even a bit of snow in the air made it a challenge for the cars and the team driving them.

This rally always takes place in October here in the area, so the participants get to enjoy the fall colors, too. Of course during the actual race they don't take notice of them, but before and after, they can check out the changing foliage, along with the spectators getting to enjoy the scenery, too. took place this year, just scroll down this
Spectator's Guide. Total mileage was over 126. The
winner did it in under 2 hours. But they race one
at a time, against the clock, so it takes two
days.

mary/charlie..pasty.!!!! the weather conditions
were very trying friday..40 m.p.h. winds rain and
more rain.was challenging to get photos due to the
rain blowing sideways right into the camera
lens..certainly is always a great event..congrats
to those who completed the rally.!!! from everyone
